Something a bit different

So I have been working on stuff lately even if the silence would indicate otherwise but I guess you cant help exams, but now there over updating should be regular again especially with looming holidays. Anyway I did finish off another commission in the past month, a model of the US flag raising on Iwo Jima. This kit was only in 1:72 scale so was a lot smaller to what I'm use to be working with which made assembly a bit difficult. This was compounded by the plastic being very brittle and the casting not especially well designed. In the end though it looked good and painting wasn't difficult.

Hopefully I'll have some more phoenix guard to show you tomorrow in the revised colour scheme.

Command Squad 408

So now that the commission has been all wrapped up for a bout a week I thought I'd post the last of the models from it. Now that it's finished I'll be moving on to finishing Halbarad, a model that I've had on the bench for about two years so you can expect to see updates on that soon.

Lord Castellan Creed and his buddy Kell

Got these two finished up this morning, I ended up spending a bit of extra time cleaning them up this morning because I'd rushed them a bit yesterday to get the commission finished earlier and looking at them this morning with a fresh set of eyes I realised I had made some bad colour choices, hopefully solved now.

Cadian Infantry Squad 728

So everything done now, just waiting for final approval before I give all the models back, anyway this is the last of the two infantry squads, and I'll post up the command squad later today.

Cadian Heavy Weapons Squad 317

Good shots of this squad now too, should be able to send pictures of the finished commission to the client this afternoon.

Cadian Infantry Squad 265

So this infantry squad is now completed with decals with the rest of the commission very close to completion as well. Need to pick up some green stuff though to fix up some bubbles on a fine cast model and then its on to painting the last three models of the cadians, which should be nice way to finish the commission.

Completed Shock Trooper

So I completed a test scheme for the cadians yesterday which got approval so expect to see the rest of the squad completed tonight.
